Version 2.0 changed how a scan works. Versions 2.1 and 2.1.1 are about the things you notice every day: a screen you can read, a purchase that shows up straight away, and a plan that looks the same wherever you check it.
A consistent look, in light and dark
The whole app now follows one design system — colour, type, cards, buttons and progress indicators — in both light and dark.
In Profile, Appearance lets you choose System, Light or Dark, and the app follows your Reduce Motion setting. Scan history cards, the paywall and the billing screens are easier to read in both themes, and the loading screen no longer flashes white when you open the app in dark mode.
Try the free Value Checker
You can now start with one photo and no account. The Value Checker gives you an estimated value range, and signing in with Google or Apple unlocks the full result. It is currently available in English.
It is a quick first look at something you have found. Treat the range as an estimate based on today's spot price, and check the details yourself before you buy or sell anything on the strength of it.
Purchases and plans that stay in sync
Buying a plan or a scan pack on app.isit.gold now works, and web checkout fills in your account email for you. Scan credits you buy on the web appear straight away, and closing checkout takes you back quietly instead of reporting a failed purchase.
Since 2.1.1, your plan reads the same on every screen as soon as you sign in. Before, one screen could show Free while your billing page showed Beginner or Professional, and features you had paid for stayed locked until you restarted the app.
Exports, support and photos
- PDF and CSV export recognise Beginner and Professional plans.
- Support: your tickets load on the Support page again, and you get an email when we reply or change a ticket's status.
- Choosing a photo opens your phone's own photo picker. The app receives only the picture you chose, not your whole library.
- Maintenance: if the service is briefly unavailable, the app tells you when we expect to be back.
- Newsletter: sign up in the app for gold market notes and app updates. Double opt-in, and one tap to unsubscribe.
Update when it suits you
None of this changes how a scan works. It makes everything around the scan easier: checking an object, reviewing your history, managing your plan and getting help.
For the full list of changes, see what's new. Version 2.1.0 was released on 19 August 2026 and 2.1.1 on 20 August 2026.
